Introducing the Mycel Testnet

MyCel first public testnet — Spore is still ongoing and you can join the excitement this testnet is generating. They also have a galxe task that includes a Referral and Point System. Participants can invite friends and earn points to level up their rank. As users accumulate points, they can watch their Citizen Cards level up, adding a fun competitive element to the platform.

Are you new to Spore? Don’t worry everyone had a first time too. Let’s guide you through:

Spore is your ticket to a seamless, cross-chain NFT adventure within the Mycelien ecosystem. Leveraging Mycel’s Transferable Accounts, Spore lets you mint NFTs on various blockchains without the usual hassle. Got BNB tokens? No problem! You can mint an NFT on Ethereum. Currently supporting Sepolia and Base Sepolia, with plans to add the BTC testnet soon, Spore ensures smooth sailing across different chains.

What is Spore?

Spore is like a bridge that helps move money (or digital tokens) between different “banks” on the internet, known as blockchains. Normally, these blockchains don’t easily talk/communicate to each other, but Spore makes it possible for them to share and exchange value.

Imagine if you had a bank account in Africa and another in the US. Normally, you would have to go through a lot of steps to transfer money between them. But Spore acts like a service that lets you easily move your money between the two without all the hassle.

It works using something called “smart contracts” (which are like automated agreements) and “liquidity pools” (which are large collections of tokens that people can use to make trades). These tools help people move their digital tokens from one blockchain to another securely and quickly. This makes it easier for users to access different financial services on the internet, like saving, lending, or trading, no matter which blockchain they prefer.

What is Spore Public Testnet?

Spore’s public testnet is a testing environment where developers, validators, and users can experiment with the Spore platform before it is officially launched on the main blockchain. The testnet allows participants to try out Spore’s features, such as moving tokens across different blockchains and testing its smart contracts, without using real assets or tokens. It is an important phase where the platform can be tested for security, bugs, and performance issues in a safe, simulated environment.
